1. Service Description
SpamShield provides AI-powered spam detection and filtering for website contact forms. The service includes real-time spam scoring, a management dashboard, email notifications, and integration with Shopify stores and custom websites via embed snippets.
2. Subscription & Billing
- SpamShield offers a Free plan ($0/month) — no credit card, no time limit.
- Paid plans (Starter $4.99/month, Pro $29/month, Enterprise $99/month; annual plans save ~17%) include a 14-day trial. No credit card is required to start.
- If you do not choose a paid plan, your account automatically continues on the Free plan — you are never locked out of the service.
- Shopify merchants are billed through the Shopify Billing API. Web users are billed via Stripe.
- You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to send or facilitate spam.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, billing, or security mechanisms.
- Share API keys or access credentials with unauthorized parties.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws.
4. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. SpamShield is designed with a fail-open architecture: if our service is temporarily unavailable, your contact forms will continue to accept submissions normally. No legitimate messages will be blocked due to a service outage.
5. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data submitted through your forms. SpamShield processes this data solely for the purpose of spam detection. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
6. Limitation of Liability
SpamShield is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the service, including but not limited to: false positives (legitimate messages blocked), false negatives (spam messages allowed through), or data loss.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for the configured retention period and then deleted per our data lifecycle policy.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
